Dining spaces
The restaurant is housed in a 16th-century granary with a variety of distinct spaces: a lush garden reminiscent of One Thousand and One Nights; the Aljibe, the interior of an ancient water cistern from Vejer’s Islamic era; the Templo; and the Pérgola, a glazed dining room open to the outside.
The Aljibe
ROMANCE BY CANDLELIGHT
This unique space is our most intimate dining area, with a single table seating up to 7 guests. It is located inside an ancient aljibe (water cistern), built during Vejer’s Islamic period and dated by archaeologists to between the late 10th and early 11th centuries. A corner steeped in history, ideal for an exclusive dining experience.
The Templo
A VAULTED MARVEL
With the solemn air of a medieval chapel, El Templo is one of our most impressive spaces. Built in 1527, its original barrel-vaulted stone ceiling has been preserved in exceptional condition, wrapping the dining room in a unique atmosphere.
Warm, romantic lighting highlights the details: French oak tables and antique teak chairs brought from India. A distinctive setting for an unforgettable dining experience.
The Pérgola
GARDEN VIEWS
Open to the garden and bathed in natural light, La Pérgola is one of the restaurant’s most beloved corners. In winter, a glass wall keeps the space warm and bright; in summer, it retracts completely, connecting the dining room with the outdoors.
Stone arches frame the space, lit by five handmade Moroccan lanterns and candlelight. The tables, crafted in Marrakech in the gueliz style, are decorated with finely carved ceramic pieces, and the wrought-iron chairs also come from Morocco.
The Garden
DINING UNDER THE STARS
Dining under the stars, surrounded by the scent of jasmine and the murmur of a fountain – or enjoying a winter lunch in the shade of palm trees – the garden is the soul of the restaurant and one of the most memorable spots in Vejer.
In the 16th century, this garden-patio was a corral where goods arriving from the valley were unloaded. Today, it is an oasis of calm and beauty – perfect for an outdoor dining experience.
